I graduated from Columbia University with a degree in Comparative Literature. Since graduation I worked in various industries as an analyst, technical writer, and software technology professional for many years before writing my memoir, Think Twice Before Crossing. My inspirational memoir was published by LifeReloaded and released in November of 2009. I have also written many articles for multiple newsletters in the technology industry and local agencies. Currently, I am marketing several nonfiction and fiction works, including screenplays.
I was born in post-revolutionary Havana, Cuba. By age five, I left the repressed island with my parents and grandmother in search of freedom in the U.S. by way of Spain. At age six, I arrived with my family to New York and we settled down in the South Bronx. By the time I was 14, we moved to Queens and later, in my adult years, I relocated to Manhattan. During my life I have traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and worldwide, and have enjoyed making new friends from all cultures. I now live with my husband in Westchester County, New York.
