Screenwriting. I have completed several screenplays this past year. In each, I explore new techniques that I have learned through trial and error, but mostly from www.ifp.org (Independent Filmmaker Project). As a frequent volunteer at Independent Film Project (www.ifp.org) and a member, the organization has been extremely helpful in my screenwriting challenges. Please check my WORKS page often for updates on my screenwriting.

Cold Case File. This is a work-in-progress about cold case files in the New York City area. It has been very time-consuming to write this book because it involves intensive research, interviewing, and investigating, but I love sleuthing and solving cases. What makes these cases interesting for me is that as a New Yorker, these cases are close to me—all the victims were from my local area, and their deaths deeply affected me at the time of their occurrence. My goal is to shed some new information and insight on each of the cases based on my research and investigations. In the process, I also hope to bring closure to the affected families and friends of the victims.  Currently, I do not have a title for this book so I refer to it as the Cold Case Book. I am open to suggestions on titles so feel free to drop me a line at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

Cooking in Cuban. I am dedicating this book, Cooking in Cuban, to my mother, Urania. She is the best cook I have ever known. I have dined worldwide at the best 5-star restaurants in many major cities, but her cuisine is like none that I have ever tasted. All the meals featured in the book have been cooked by my Cuban-Catalan mom. The recipes are entirely authentic, passed down to me by my grandmothers and mother; each adding a unique variation of spices to the meals.

The dishes bare the influence of Spanish cooking from different regions in Spain, mixed with the exotic flavors of the island's local fare. Interwoven into the recipes are enriching stories about my Cuban and European family, the lifestyle of pre-revolutionary Cuba, and the island's history of international cuisine and culture. The photographs of the ethnic dishes featured in my book are so colorful and vivid that the foods literally jump up at the reader, provoking their taste buds. (By the way, I am also one of the contributing photographers featured in the book). Cooking in Cuban will contain recipes in both English and Spanish.
